Wireless Trouble?

I have an HAI panel with a 42A00-2 Supervised Wireless Receiver (GE). I have 20+ GE wireless senors around and no problems, then a few weeks a GE wireless smoke alarm started giving out a trouble alarm. I purchased a brand new one and replaced it, while I cleaned the old smoke alarm and mounted it in a different location.

Today the new smoke alarm gave off a trouble signal. I checked the receiver and it said "supervision problem" yet this smoke alarm is only 15 feet max. from a GE repeater that I have. I find it pretty hard to believe the signal is not making it to at least the repeater.

Has anyone ever had interference to one of these receivers?  I think they operate on 319.5 MHz and I have nothing else I know at that frequency. Any ideas?

Repeater having issues? You'd be amazed on how far an actual signal from GE wireless travels without one.

Then again, I've heard of a lot of issues with HAI firmware and supervisory.

Yes, it wouldn't really surprise me if it was a HAI firmware issue.  The problems always seem to be on the same wireless zones no matter what I change.

I got the repeater a few years ago because I had one motion detector on the diagonal opposite side of the house that was complaining now and then.  I added the repeater, and haven't had any problems since, but this smoke alarm is actually much closer to the repeater than that distant motion detector was.

Maybe I'll try putting the smoke alarm on a different wireless zone.  I do have 55+ zones (20 wireless) but for an Omni Pro II, I wouldn't think that should be a problem.

I had a recent issue I believed was caused by EMI, electromagnetic interference. The GE receiver was too close to the electrical panel. I located the receiver about 20 feet away and have not had a problem since. This install was in a 4000 Sq Ft home with 35 sensors.

There was a similar lengthy thread a month or two ago

There was mention of an internal 5 hour "ish" test loop that kept tripping the supervisory trouble alert.

I can't find the thread though.
