Wiring a switch to Elk M1 input

You don't need to concern yourself with switch bounce. Just define the switch either NO or NC and program your rules accordingly. I do not know exactly what you are trying to do but you can look at the state of this switch(zone) and use it in your rules when deciding on an action to take.

One more thing -
 
If you make the zone NormallyOpen then closed will be considered to be violated or alarmed by the Elk and visa versa.

I think we have the same stack - CQC, ELK, unRaid, HASS, Blue Iris, Tasmota, ESPhome. Every time I look for help, you seem to have the answer.
