You would toggle an unused output for any burglar alarm. Then use that as part of your disarm routine - as mentioned I use keyfobs. So it becomes if a burglar alarm turns on then turn ON output xxx. Whenever the button on my keyfob becomes active AND output xxx is ON then chirp the siren and flash the strobe and whatever other rules/actions you desire. I then toggle another output ON for a few seconds which then turns OFF, but turns another output on for a few minutes - which would then allow me to press the button on my keyfob and disarm/open the garage door. The idea with the last set of outputs is to protect against a quick double press and maybe only getting a single chirp of the alarm which may not be heard as we're pulling into the driveway. With it this way the siren and strobe will be going off for a few seconds before I'm allowed to disarm and enter.SteveInNorCal said:I'm just starting to learn to program my M1G. Could you share more details of the rules you wrote? This sounds like an excellent approach.
