zone reporting via phone and email

I’ve decided to forgo a Security Reporting Service and rely on my M1G to notify me via cell phone and email (and text using @vtext).

EMAIL and PHONE – Using rules, I’ve configured my system to send me an email indicating an intrusion

Whenever any alarm, any area turns on
Then Send mail message 1 to (email address)
Then Dial (phone number) and announce message

It would be very helpful if I was able to include the zone in both the email and voice message which caused the intrusion but haven’t figured out how to do that. Is that possible? My phone reporting format is 5 (voice message).

REMOTE PHONE SUPPORT – Following an intrusion and accessing my system via remote phone, the system reports “Memory†to me. I assume this is indicating that the system has information available as to the cause of the alarm condition. I haven’t been able to determine how to listen to that memory or determine which zone caused the intrusion (assuming the zone returned to normal state).

Thank you,

Mike

I do the two with my HAI setup.

My alarm company actually lets me log in and check status and does the normal supervising.

On a side note I personally use SMS texting/emails telling me status. Very custom - IE: CNN News alert, mail or package deliver, what car just arrived, etc and the addition of just logging into my home and seeing status - and manually running an event ..... The ability to call in (via telephone) or get a call with same feature set both to either alarm panel and / or HA box. Works for me using HAI panel and HA box. Using my phone to actually see the package delivery video etc....believe you can do the same with your system.

I set up separate misc. Voice messages for each of the 6 major areas of my house (Kitchen, FM, Garage, etc). Whenever there is an alarm I check which zone is insecure and then set one of the outputs 201 to 206 (otherwise unused) to expire in 55 seconds. When the ouput expires, and the system is armed away, I send the corresponding voice message to my cell phone (voice msg 1 for output 201, voice message 2 for output 202 etc) . I put in the 55 second delay to allow plenty of time for output 1 to announce the intrusion and the zone that was violated.
