Zone resistors on OmniPro II

I was recently told that the OmniPro II board already have 1K zone resistors installed on the board and that you include/exclude them in the a loop by selecting yes/no for zone resistors in PC Access. I cannot find any such info in my documentation and I added my own 1K resistors to my security sensor loops. Is this true about resistors already mounted on the board (and other HAI boards)? If so, is there any problem with 2 ea 1K resistors in a loop or should I remove the resistors I installed (easy to do in my case).

If you put your own 1K resistors on the zones then you want to make sure that resistors is set to ON.

1K end-of-line resistors ARE NOT installed on OmniPro II boards. There is a setting for "ZONE RESISTORS (yes/no)" that tells the controller whether EOL resistors have been installed at the end of the zone loop and to monitor their presence. Installing EOL resistors is always more secure than not installing them.

Thanks for clearing that up. I will not say who told me that but I felt like he should be knowledgable on the subject and he was wearing an HAI shirt when he made that statement. The comment surprised me. I guess I should have quizzed him about it at the time.
