ELK M1 Gold Alarm will not arm!

Just recently my ELK M1 Gold start to have a mind of its own. Intermittently when pressing the arm button on any of my 4 M1KPNAV keypads the alarm system doesn't arm and the system announces "Area 1 Disarmed". This happens when attempting to arm the system in any mode, EXIT, STAY, NIGHT, etc...

    WattStopper ELK M1

Bingo john you were right! Didn't matter which definition I used it would only work if I listed the zone violation first in the rule and that it was in the alarm mode in the second statement. Thanks for your help!

    WattStopper ELK M1

I installed a WattStopper Outdoor PIR Motion Sensor (Model EW-200) to control my outdoor flood lights. This model PIR comes with an additional Isolated Relay NC /NO to be used as need.   The motion portion of this PIR to control my outdoor  lighting works flawlessly.   I installed the isolated...

    ELK-M1KPNAV Enrollment error

Dangit! It's a bad KPNAV! I've tried the bad one in two different locations with the same results. Too bad it's already about two years old. It works fine when it is just the KPNAV's attached to the DBH but as soon as you include the M1KP the one KPNAV goes missing and causes problems for the...

    ELK-M1KPNAV Enrollment error

Good call! I'll check that next. Like I said it works with the other 3 KPNAV's. However I haven't checked the wiring by changing around the heads, good idea! I'll try it this weekend!

    ELK-M1KPNAV Enrollment error

Sorry it took me so long to respond back but I have been out of town. Unfortunately after checking for the jumper I have discovered it has already been removed so that does not appear to be the culprit. Any other suggestions?

    ELK-M1KPNAV Enrollment error

The system is an ELK-M1G and yes I did change the address to the appropriate pad number. Number 5 for the first time I tried it. Just seems bizarre that it is only this one M1KPNAV that causes this issue but works fine when it is used with the other 3,  M1KPNAV installed on the M1DBH.

    ELK-M1KPNAV Enrollment error

My ELK-M1 has been up and running for several years with 4, ELK-M1KPNAV keypads with no issues. My original system came with an ELK-M1KP that I never installed. So the other day I thought I would install the ELK-M1KP as a 5th keypad in the basement area where my ELK-M1 is mounted. That's when my...

ELK M1 won't talk to me!

Just installed 4 new ELK-6021 Wireless Mini Window Sensors into my wireless group and changed the voice commands to say "window open" when the contact is broken but all I can get it to do is chime. I have 10 other ELK-6021's set up this way and they all speak the voice command. I've set the new...

Thanks for the comments! I think i'm going to rethink my idea of having the alarm system turn off when the correct key code is entered. I'll keep you guys posted what I do!

    Elk M1 and Z-Wave Lock

None, other than you have to put the right code in for the door to unlock.
