Ok, I admit it, I must be a retard. I've had my M1 for years and installed and programmed it myself, but can't for the life of me figure out an easy way to clear a phone fault. I have the stupid ABN adapter from Next Alarm and occasionally it fails to give a dial tone so of course the M1 reports...
That makes perfect sense since B is defined in the Omnistat2 installation instructions as "Energized in Heat" and my Goodman system only requires the valve to be energized to cool (so O is connected directly to the condensor).
Ultimately the problem is that I didn't know about the heat strip...
Ok, found the installation instructions for my system and the white heat strip wire is supposed to go to the Heat Pump as well -- although I don't understand why. But it is supposed to be wired to W2 of the thermostat, not to #6 B where I had it wired. So I switched the white wire from B to W2...
This Summer I purchased a new HAI Omnistat2 (RC1000 WH) thermostat and honestly once the AC worked, I never tested the heat. Well the first day the heat turned on last week (Florida) I noticed it got much hotter than I wanted the heat set point, in fact it got as hot as my cool set point. Upon...
Not sure how this works for me, but it does. I point eK at my external dynamic DNS name and it works internally as well as externally. I believe it is because my router (Actiontec) NATs the packets even though they are sourced from the inside interface.
I really really love this app and not only is it well worth the $45, it's one of the few apps I use all the time.
Although it loads over twice as fast on my 3GS then it did on my 3G, I still wish it connected faster.
One thing I would love to see added though is push notifications. I'm not...
This is a perfect start, but you might also want to create two automation tasks for turning the AC on and Off. This makes it easier to integrate the functionality with other rules and easily kick them off from other UIs like the Elk Java UI or the eKeypad iPhone app.
I believe the output is only for flashers. Currently I use a USBUIRT for exactly this purpose, and yes I have a flasher coming from my Xantech glued to the front of it.
My Mac connects with Camino just fine to the Elk Java UI.
IMO Camino is just a version of FF with better OSX integration. The most notable MIA feature in the OSX FF version is the lack of Keychain support. If you don't store web passwords then it's obviously useles, but storing passwords in...
Create a whenever rule that states Whenever the light is turned off, set Output 100 to On for 5 minutes.
Then edit your motion on rule and add requirement that says And if output 100 is off.
Output 100 shouldn't actually be connected to anything so you can use it as a variable.
I used the example in the directions to display the temperature probe reading on my keypads, but I'd also like to display the outside temperature on my Omnistat2's Message area.
Is it possible to create a M1G rule that will send a text string to the Omnistat2's message area?
Thanks.
I tried this myself by setting 2At2012144278D000000000000000000000000000096 <cr><lf> as a "Texts" in ElkRP then creating the following rule.
WHENEVER EVERY 30 SECONDS
THEN SEND THE FOLLOWING TEXT: "2At2012144278D000000000000000000000000000096 <cr><lf>" THROUGH PORT 1
But it...
