Im using Alarm Relay, so theres not testtimer or hearbeat beyond what I program my communicator to peroidically test.
I have no idea why the KP isnt clearing the error after the comm failure clears in the logs.
Ethernet is the primary comms route, telephone is secondary. I am also using ethernet as remote access via myKeypad on my android phone.
M1G firmware is 5.2.10
M1XP firmware is 1.3.28
My main issue for now is my KP alerting for non-current comm failures, not the eth failures I will speak about in a bit...
For whatever reason, my M1G's ethernet keeps acting up (multiple repeated eth fails and restorals the system can be fine for weeks, then all of a sudden tons of ethe...
Im getting these ethernet issues sporadically, sometimes multiple times per week. Power cycling the ethernet module doesnt help - I have to power cycle the M1G itself each time. When this happens I can ping the Elk's ethernet/IP address with my PC but cannot use ElkRP as it gets past the...
Interesting stuff, I see more how things work with those types of units, you posted more info on this in the other thread I asked in. Thanks.
The manual Ive seen for the C3leads me to believe it doesnt provide for any SMS texting or remote management ability. I did find another...
im curious, when using the XSP and one of these 2500/4500 devices, what is the exact mechanism that the Uplink device reports to?
The Elk ethernet device reports to an IP server with some kind of encapsulated ContactID protocol, the Elks dialer does a pots dialup and transmits ContactID to...
Looking for a solution that utilizes an actual POTS phone dialer; so no internet-based comms using GMRS or anything like that are needed. My Elks ethernet/IP is primary CS method to alarm relay, and since my home internet (DSL) and home POTS phone come in on the same line, the cellular dial...
you're not too far behind me. I picked the ademco-compatible RF receiver for the elk because it supports more wireless zones than the GE/Caddx-compatible receiver.
While the 5800PIR-RES ademco wireless motion detectors will work for motion on loop1, the Elk wont pick up tamper alerts from...
I have IP as primary and phone as secondary...So Alarm Relay will only tell us every 30 days if our Elk is calling out and testing with them. If I set it for every day and make a rule to email me if theres a problem with the communicator thats cool and all but will it piss them off? Its not a...
Looks like maybe the Elk only supports loops 1-3? (using both ElkRP and the KP you can only select up to 3) I see some devices that do stuff such as tamper on loop4. Is there any way for the Elk to look for signals on loop4?
I posted this same ? on the diy form some time ago. A few pros...
If using the M1XRF2H wireless receiver / input expander that work with the honeywell 5800 series transmitters/sensors, can we also use the 5834 series honeywell keyfobs?
