2nd Keypad

Please help...

I have hooked up a data bus hub to hook all my keypads up to via cat6 cable. KP number 1 is up and running along with a wireless reciever. For some reason KP2 will not power up, and I swear I have checked the wiring 5 times. Am I missing something? I have the first three ports occupied with KP1, wireless reciever, KP2, then the terminating resistor in port 4. Whenever I plug in KP2, the bus loses its power, unplug and all devices work. Any suggestions?

Sounds like you have a short in the wiring. Maybe rebut the RJ45 connector and recheck your wiring for a 6th time.

try putting kp2 where kp1 is to make sure it's not the keypad.
