Newb question here. I am installing 3 Napco Firewolf 4-wire smoke detectors and connecting them to an ELK M1G. Do I need to use 18/4 Fire Wire for these DC powered smokes? If so, can anyone recommend where to buy this wire?
We always use red FPL rated cable for smoke detectors. It easily identifies the circuit. Plus it is code, at least around here. Also be sure to install an "end of line relay" to supervise the power.
