5.7e And Beeps

Seems like we had a thread related to this a few weeks ago, but I can't find it... Just installed my 5.7e, and it's working nicely. However, I've noticed that it does not always beep when the console downstairs beeps. It does beep during entry/exit delays, but it doesn't beep when, for example, a rule commands a message to be displayed with beep. Is this another aspect of the fact that the 5.7e isn't on the serial console bus?

I do not recall where I saw the info but the 5.7e does not mirror the console for beeps. Only certain types of actions drive a beep on the 5.7e.
