Best way to connect 2 TR16 Thermostats to PC?

I have two TR16 RS485 thermostats that I'd like to connect to my PC (for use with Homeseer).

The PC does not have a Serial port, so I have an 8 port edgeport USB to serial adapter. Because of the USB interface, I'm guessing that I need to use a powered RS485 to RS 232 adapter? If so, does that make this 8AH232 - 8 Channel RS485 Star Hub the most cost effective option?

If not, what are my other choices?

Yes, connect them to an RS485 to RS232 hub, then to HomeSeer. We have a new free plugin that will then control them. Do not connect them to seperate serial ports.
