Bluetooth GPS receiver AND iGuidance 3.0 for $49 + Free Shipping

I just checked it.. $49 + $6 fedex. it's 8:39 EDT.

JUST in case.. clear your IE Cache or delete some ClubIT cookies--they may fiddle with pricing that way--several places do! try it from a different computer or download Firefox/Opera/etc and see if that gets you the cheap price.

Received my unit tonight, looks good so far. Did you register your software yet? The only serial # I can find is on that IOGEAR paper, but not sure if that's for the hardware, or software. Let me know what you did.

If you want to qualify for the $10 upgrade, it has to be ordered in the next few days. I will try to register mine tonight.

I can't locate the serial # for the software. I saw one piece of paper which lists a s/n, but it is not accept by the registration system.

This version of the software is really good, I used to use it in my carpc, so it's still not a bad deal, but doesn't look like this upgrade thing is going to work. Hopefully John will chime in soon.

Just got a response from them. Oh well :) I did try it out tonight with my laptop, the software is indeed iGuidance, works great, and no problems with the GPS unit either.

Hi Dan:
Both Iogear and we license the product from the same software development company. But since we are of different company, we do not support each other's product. Please contact Iogear for any upgrade path.

Thank you.

Update: IOgear just told me they don't have any plans to offer the upgrade.

Sorry Guys, I ran into the same exact problem :( There is a bright side though:

1) iGuidance 3.0 is still the best of the best when it comes to use on a Touchscreen, due to the large buttons, and its usability and features in general.

2) The GPS receiver here is working great with my tablet PC. Even in the house I am getting a lock of 6 satellites! The Delorme LT-20 (Yellow mouse as its also known) will not lock a single satellite here in the house, placed in the same location on my desk.

3) $49 for a $129 piece of software, AND a $79 or so GPS receiver is a good deal in my book!

If you would like a nicer looking version of iGuidance with better graphics, and a couple features added such as navigate by coordinates, you can download my iGuidance patch on JohnWPB.com.

For some stupid reason, iNav took out the navigate by coordinates feature from version 2.1 to 3.0. With a bit of reshacking, I was able to add it back in. This was key to getting the GPS Gas feature on the CarPC working, as it gets the Latitude and Longitude of the lowest priced gas stations in your area, based on GPS, and passes those coordinates to iGuidance to navigate to the station.

I have been using iGuidance for quite some time now, and am quite familiar with the inner working of the program, and controlling it with scripts to automate many tasks. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask!
As I THOUGHT I was gonna be able to upgrade to iG 4.0 with this purchase, I now have 2 copies of iGuidance. Will prob sell one on eBay to get the cost of this back heheheh.

It's definitely a great deal, and looks like it works with my PDA as well, so I am happy. Some of the 4.0 features are really interesting tho, especially the TTS part.
