Channel Vision P-0411 RJ-31x Elk M1G wiring question

I'm making a jumper to go between a Channel Vision P-0411 phone device's RJ-31x jack and the Elk M1G phone connection. I can't find any doc on the P-0411 that is helpful. I'm using cat5e with a regular RJ-45 plug on one end (wired as T568A) and just the bare wires on the other. Is the following the correct way to connect the bare wires on the M1G side?

1. blue wire (pin 4) goes to the R terminal
2. white/blue wire (pin 5) goes to the T terminal
3. white/green wire (pin 1) goes to the T1 terminal
4. brown wire (pin 8) goes to the R1 terminal

Also, the P-0411 device treats "phone line 1" as both the DSL line and security/RJ-31x line. In my setup, line 1 is currently only used for DSL (no voice), so I figured I would allow it to also be the security line. With the P-0411, if the M1G seizes line 1 for a callout, does it affect the DSL connection at all? Does the seize result in a temporary physical break of the line so that even DSL service is interrupted?

Thanks,
Ira
