Hi all,
I recently replaced an old Ademco, with the Elk M1 and I'm learning a lot in the process.
The ademco only had support for 6 zones, so the original installer wired the upstairs window contacts in series and put them all on one zone. Since I have more zones now, I separated them, and put EOL resistors on all three and gave them their own zones.
Two are working, the third window is not working. When the window is opened it is not triggering a zone violation, and also still reports an impedance of 2200 ohms.
Anybody have any ideas as to why, the circuit would still look closed when the window contact is broken?
Thanks!
