Crazy idea ... Improve your sleeping

Yeah that's pretty much what I want, but I don't want to spend $150 on just a watch. If it somehow could transmit a signal to a 'base station', to let my HA setup know what's going on, I would probably go for it.

My $20 wall mart clock ...
We bought one of those clocks as well and it's awesome. We have a total of three of them in the house now and two more in boxes to give as gifts or possibly use ourselves. They are very impressive for the $15 (Maybe $14.95) we paid for them.

Back on topic, though, my wife an I are both usually awake a good 10 minutes before the alarm clock goes off each morning at 5:04 (reference to the 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment which is a former unit of mine) and rarely have problems being awakened.

I have a wake-up routine for my 15-month old son, though. On non-holiday weekdays, HomeSeer slowly raises the light level of his room over a 30 minute period. We feel this helps his sleep cycle stay regulated and heps him wake more easily, since he has to be up by 5:30 in order for us to get him fed, dressed, and to daycare before we get to work. It works so well that he is usually awakw baby-talking to himself between 5:30 & 5:35 and will sleep until 6:30 or 7:00 on weekends and holidays when the "sunrise event" does not trigger.

E, since you do not want to wake your wife, have you considered aiming a spot light at YOUR pillow and having it slowly go from off to on over a 30-minute period? This would keep her from being disturbed, and you'd have the benefit of the gentle "sunrise" wakeup.

E, that's not the one. The one Wal-Mart sells can't be found on line, becuase my wife and I looked on-line for one when all of our local stores were sold out.

I just Froogled for one again, and all I found were the same one you linked in your last post.

Wal-Mart.com does not have them either.

The one we have is short, wide, and deep - not like the one you linked to that is tall, wide, and thin.

I looked for one of these when I was at Wal*Mart several days ago, but didn't see an Emerson clock. Do you have a model #?

OK, the clock is an Emerson Research CKS1850. I've googled it and still cannot find anyone who has it for sale, but Google Images has a rather low resolution picture of it. Epinions had a single 4/5 starts review on it, but did not list any sellers.
