Years ago we had a brinks system that would give us 30 seconds to silence a burglar alarm before reporting to the CO. As I recall we also had 15 seconds for the fire alarm.

Since we recently started system monitoring with alarmrelay I was considering setting up something similar with my M1 to reduce the number of false alarms. As I started looking into how to do this it looks like I would need to set every zone as a dialer delay zone and set the global timer for 30 seconds. However,if I need to set every zone as a dialer delay it makes me question if I really want to do this. Maybe I should just pick some zones that are more likely to be false alarms and leave it at that.

Is there a better way to accomplish what I am thinking of or anyone have thoughts on all zones being delayed?

I'd rather the customer get the call, the event get logged and the signal go out on any alarm, even a false, than it not go out for the sake of traffic at the CS.
