Don't laugh, forgot installer code...

I had installed an Omnipro II system and 2 lcd consoles about 6 months ago. I have been using it strictly for security but I am planning to expand it to lighting and audio soon.

My problem...I cannot remember the installer code that I had chosen. I had written it down but I cannot find hay either B)

I have tried all the numbers I would regularly use, no luck.

I am thinking of starting to punch numbers in the LCD console starting with 0001 going all the way up to 9999. Are there any problems that can come up if I do that? Is there an easier option other than sending it to HAI and losing everything?

Did you try 1111? Trying 10,000 codes may not seem like many, but it is, plus I bet it locks you out for a while if you get a certain number of wrong codes.

Tried 1111, no dice.

Do you happen to know how long will the system lock me out for if there are a lot of entries? That is looking like the only option from what I can find. I definitely don't want to send it to HAI and get everything erased.

Your fingers must be worn out. Just don't press the silent duress code.

HAI has never said, but there must be a way to erase the flash memory by shorting a pin on the flash chip. That's likely what they do when you send it back.

I don't think testing every code will have any negative effect, but if it does have a lockout, it won't work either. I guess you'll find out eventually. B)

Anyone???

I have punched in up to 1300 with no side effects yet but am a bit scared to keep going...

I have no advice, but I'm impressed you got to 1300. Just posting to offer encouragement.

Finding this code is your destiny.

^^
Added for more drama.

You should hook up 10 solenoids to press the buttons, and then write an automation rule that will make the HAI try to crack itself.

Do you not have PCAccess? If you do, possibly one of your old config files has the installer code saved in it.

And you do know that time is like a big burrito folding itself. ;)

I "lost" my PW when I configured the OPII in FL, panicked and called HAI. I used PCA and misplaced the last copy of it. I found it while on the phone with them.

Yes, in case of emergency read the instruction (or call HAI).
And look for a total reset.
Maybe it is more easy redoing the programming.

another option is that they dont tell you that you are locked out after X tries, and you have been pressing buttons that are not doing anything :( sorry to add this in a maybe burst your bubble... but just a possibility
