Elk M1 & z-wave - status of lights

I just setup my z-wave network using thinkessentials usb stick as primary controller,
and elk m1's new z-wave interface using a VRC0P as secondary controller.

Anyway - does anyone know if there is a setting somewhere where the elk can figure
out the current status of the lights? I know this is done w/ UPB, but w/ Z-wave i can't figure it out.

I basically want to know if hte lights are currently on or off, i don't just want to controll them.

thx for any help.

Hi Aceman -

Did you ever get anywhere with this?

I don't necessarily have an answer, but a question.

I also have the Elk M1 with the Z-Wave interface. I purchased the Leviton VRC0P serial interface, but unfortunately it was one of the obsolete "non +3" versions" so it wouldn't associate with any other Z-Wave device.

Can I assume that you at least were able to get your VRC0P (+3 version?) to associate with other NON-LEVITON Z-wave devices, and act as a secondary controller?

Many thanks and good luck with your setup!

Bill
