Elk M1G and Elan Home Systems

I have both the Elk M1G and the Elan HC6 set up in our shop for demonstration, as well as for our own purposes. The Elk has always been connected to our network through the M1XEP, but I have since disconnected that so the Elan unit could integrate the alarm, using the main serial port on the Elk board. I would very much like to be able to have both the Elan unit and the XEP hooked up to the Elk so I can control it both ways. Does anyone know if it is possible to have both the Elan HC6 and the M1XEP connected to the M1G at the same time?

You can use an ELK IP232, Ethernet to RS232 bridge module. This enables you to connect the Elan's RS232 port to the Ethernet and connect to the M1 through a socket connection in the M1XEP. Program the IP232 to the Client mode and set the M1XEP's IP address to connect to.
