Hi all

Need a little help with an HAI omnipro II. No matter what I have tried, the panel will not arm in away mode. I have the dealer software and I am programming via a network connection. The board was moved from a larger house to its current location. The board has been reset (eeprom reset). All kepads work. "System OK" is always displayed. No other strange behavoir. I sent the board in for service, and its was sent back saying it passed all tests and was reset.

I have two motion detectors which appear to work normally. Of course in "day" mode, they are not armed and useless. They are set as "Away Int" for zone type on zones 6 and 11. Both have power and show "Living Room Motion not ready" when test walk perfomed.

Anyone aware of a setting or wiring issue that would prevent the panel from arming "Away"

Thanks

you need to trip(open) an entry/exit door before it will arm away

Go to Setup > Arming > Unvacated Premises and hit <F1> for help...

Excerpt:

Arming Unvacated Premises

This setting in the Setup->Arming tab is used if the alarm is armed in Away or Vacation mode and no exit zone is violated during the exit delay (i.e. the premises was not vacated), the system will automatically arm to Day mode at the expiration of the exit delay. Select between the options in the drop-down box. The default setting for Unvacated Premises is Yes.

Due to the CP01 standard, the system will not arm to away if an entry/exit zone does not get violated during the Entry/Exit period. It will instead arm to Day.

That feature has been in there since at least 3.0 and maybe earlier. You have to go in and set the Unvacated Premises option to No. It is located under Setup -> Arming.
