HAI PIM problems

I have a HAI Lumina that has HAI PIM we have had to replace the unit 3 times.  The location is on an island and seems that the power is not very clean.  HAI switches and PIM are very unreliable.  Tried to use upstart to run testing and cannot complete with failure everytime.

Customer also has Zigbee for 3 thermostats.  We are thinking about switching to Zwave.  does anyone have suggestions re the PIM and if we go zwave will the interfere with the Zigbee

Well, this is the first I have heard of constant PIM problems.  Line noise sure, but it usually doesn't cause hardware failure.

Regarding Z-Wave v. Zigbee, they are in totally different bands of the radio spectrum, they should work just fine together.

With respect to PIM problems, I am beginning to suspect that I also have them.

I am trying to get my existing HAI installation up and running, and while I have been able to communicate with my (HAI) switches and controllers via a Simply Automated UMC-USB-W and UpStart, I have been unable to communicate with them via my OmniPro2 (using 2 control panels or PCA), in spite of a firmware upgrade.

Does anyone know what the status LED on the front of the 36A00-1 PIM would normally display? I understand it flashes green when receiving and red when transmitting, but what should it display when doing neither? I did reset it to factory defaults, it did not help.

I had the same problem before. All i did was to reset the Hai panel, then it worked. Hope this will solve your problem.
