How do I attach M1XIN to SWP

I have a few ELK-XIN input expanders that I am mounting in a Leviton 42" can. Based on the recommendation from my dealer (AO) I purchased the same number of ELK-SWP mounting plates (not the SWP3 plates). I noticed that the ELK-SWP does not come with any stand-offs.

How do I attach the XIN to the SWP plates? I know that I could always use double-sided tape but I wondered what you gurus do.
Thanks!

I use the brass standoff for motherboards. There are also the plastic standoffs Elk sells.

I just purchased some SWP3's and they came with plastic standoffs. I am suprised that the SWP ones don't. I'll be getting 3 SWP in a few days so we'll see on my end.

If I had to do it I would order some nylon standoffs from Digikey, Newark, or some other source and use them. You could also go to Grainger and see if they have some if there is one close. You will pay a premium at Grainger though.

I would chose nylon because you can control the grounding of the boards better, if needed.

I didn't know which plates came with what, so I ordered extra standoffs. Although I used the double-sided tape often because it sticks so well and lets you place anywhere you want without drilling.

I'll have to see if there is a local store that sells the nylon stand-offs. That would be my choice but I need to get moving quickly on this project... The SWP3 comes with 4 stand-offs but the SWP doesn't. Bummer!

Also, I need to verify if the holes in the the XIN match up with the SWP holes... I'll report back this evening if I find a local source for the stand-offs.

EDIT: Hmmmm...at lunch today I'll run by a Frys to see if they carry the stand-offs. I would think so...

Brass motherboard standoffs seem more solid to me than the nylon and you can stack multiple cards on top of each other. (Got this idea from Electron). The XIN should mount to the holes, I used them on my setup.

If you talk about stacking then I don't recommend Nylon. They make aluminum ones with a hinge that you can use to stack, maybe in brass too..Digikey.com is your friend.
