HW Ademco 5809 Heat

I have now successfully installed my Honeywell ADEMCO 5809 Heat Detector and it seeme to function fine.

But I have one question. Is it normal to have to cycle the ELK M1G off/on to clear the Heat Detector "Heat Trouble" message? Or am I missing something?

No. Something is wrong.

I'm guessing from your prior post(s) that you did not change the ZT to "Fire" and/or possibly have the tamper learned in instead of loop 1.
