Hey Guys,
We are trimming out the alarm Panel (HAI Omni Pro II) with 2 hardwire expanders and (1) 17A00 expander enclosure. My problem is that at rough in, we sent 16 too many of the contact wires back to the box that houses the hardwire expander. (they should have been routed to the main enclosure with the OPII)
What I would like to do without having to purchase another 17A00 (too expensive and I already have the Hardwire expander 10A06) is extend the "supplied 20 pin connector" via cat5 from the main panel to my Aux panel. My guess is that all 20 of the pinouts aren't needed.
Does anyone know which pins carry power and com? And am I missing any reason why this wouldn't be a good idea.
