WEBSET access does support encrypted password protection. Have you looked the WEBSET configuration screen?  Remotely access WebControl must login or set allowed host IP address, which I think the logger software from Lars already support that, of course, disable login is another option.
 
WC32 and WC8 are two separate product lines, not one to replace another.  Currently WC32 is in beta stage. It does support logging on the USB based flash card. However, due to our supplier does not support USB hub at this stage, using USB flash to log will not be able to use USB to connect the LCD display.  Certain function, like high speed pulse counter and frequency counter does not exist on the WC32 due to different hardware structure.
 
another way I would be able to go is to make use of a NAS in a local network as ftp repository or local server, but a ready to play solution would be preferred.

OK I understand. For counting S0-signals from a meter high speed pulse counting is not necessary.
