M1G status LED

Hi all, I think having LEDs showing the status (Armed, Not Armed) of ELK to control via remote from main gate will be nice. Is using Rules the only way to accomplish this? All that is required is eliminating a green LED if system is Not Armed and a Red LED is system is Armed, or one LED will also do the trick I suppose. Using a Rule that fires every sec will work, but thought there might be something that takes care of this in place already.

Whenever Area 1 Armed State becomes Armed
Then Turn Output 193 On

Whenever Area 1 Armed State becomes Disarmed
Then Turn Output 193 Off

Output 193 from keypad one will supply your voltage to your red led. When the system is armed the led is on, when the system is disarmed the led is off. Just one way of doing it.

You could use a bi-color LED and have the green LED lit all of the time. Then just control the red side on an off and you will get an orange when armed and a green when not armed. You could also use a very small relay with a SPDT contact and have both colors work individually through the relay. Have the common of the relay go to the supply voltage (or the negative deoending on the LED type). Wire the green LED lead to the NC contact. Then wire the red LED lead to the NO contact and turn the relay (output) on when armed.
