I drilled it for the mounting screws. In retrospect, I mounted the M1 controller too high in the enclosure. At this point, I am thinking of revising the installation and using an adhesive backed magnet material stuck to the back of the M1.
Just be careful when you drill holes. It would be best to have the can empty of any "open case" equipment. It might seem like a long shot, but the metal filings could fall onto something and short it out. Better to take a little precaution before drilling just to be safe.
As mentioned above drill. Take the Elk board out of it's plastic case and put the back piece up to the can to line up the holes where you want. Also, good advice on emptying the can first. And get a magnet to help clean up the shrapnel in the can....
Leviton also sells half and full size "security strips" which will work for this purpose also if you don't want to drill you can or think you may want to move stuff around. I have used them for some of my accessory cards and terminal strips (pictures at the link in my sig). They are basically white powder coated bars, you drill into and mount to instead and then they have pins that do line up with the holes in the can. But they are very expensive for what they are...
