New 2-way wireless transceiver

I already have a honeywell receiver, and just received the email about the availability of the new ELK transceiver, and was considering adding it to my installation for several new wireless sensors I need to install.

I was very disappointed on reading the instructions that it must be addressed as input 2. That would mean moving my wired input expander and my wireless honeywell reciever to different addresses, affecting programming, etc.

Based upon that, this interesting new device won't be part of my installation.

Am I the only one that thinks this was a major mistake by ELK?

It's kind of annoying, but in all reality, it's probably 20 minutes worth of work; not the end of the world. If you have rules dependent on zones, maybe longer - but even an hour isn't a deal killer.

Yes and no, programming is the easy part, even if cut/paste is needed, I think they should've integrated with Honeywell's 5800TM before bringing their item on the market, JMHO, since their line has a very limited market and checkmarks to be put in the "pro" column.
