well, after my 770 has sat at the repair facility for more than 30 days, after numerous pokings and proddings on my part, it was escalated to Nokia's executive resolution team. i am pleased to say that they will, as a one time gesture, replace my still unrepaired 770 with a brand spanking new 800.

Well, it's too bad that it has taken so long, but you will enjoy the N800 more than the N770. I have both, but the 800 is much nice IMHO. It might not be worth the extra retail price, but since you are getting it for the same price, you'll love it.

yeah i looked @ the 800's specs and reviews and it really looks much better than the 770. what irked me the most was that Nokia will not acknowledge the white screen of death as a hardware problem, eventhough it was reported shortly after they launched the 770 and there are large numbers of these failures documented across the internet (and what i think is an unusually large amount of failures from woot.com purchases)
