Omnistat 2 Will Not Communicate w/ OmniPro II

I just replaced an RC80 with the Omnistat 2 and it will not commuicate with the touchscreen panel. The temperature just shows "0". I have addressed it in sequence with my other omnistat and set the baud rate at 100 w/ no luck. The only time it registers with the touchscreen is when I set the Omnistat 2 in the Zigbee mode. The Omnistat 2 will just sit there trying to link but does nothing. But while in the zigbee mode I can go down to the touchsreen and actually see the temperature reading. Once I get out of the Zigbee mode, the temperature reading at the touch panel shows "0".

I had a similiar issue with my OmniStat2. Not the Zigbee thing but rather the zero temp reading.

I called HAI Technical support and they helped me with my issue.

What version of firmware is your Omni running? If you have one of the newer RC2000 zigbee versions then I thunk you need 3.x. Once on the new firmware it should recognize the readings on your Omni touch. Are you seeing the correct time being updated on the Omnistat?

I "was" using HAI firmware 3.7X when I noticed the issue. Sometimes by the next day I would see the temperature. There is a thread below in the HAI section relating to my issues and eventually solving the problems. I am currently now utilizing most current HAI firmware 3.8.

I am a little confused. Is your RC2000 a ZigBee model, that is, does it actually have a ZigBee radio and do you have a ZIM connected to your Omni? The newer RC2000 firmware has configuration support for multiple hardware variants, but unless you actually have the appropriate radio board installed those settings don't do anything.

The problem sounds like some sort of communication problem... Rather than going back and forth here I would strongly recommend contacting HAI technical support. They can quickly help you identify your hardware and assist you with troubleshooting procedures.

I've not seen any Omnistat to HAI OPII to Omnitouch issues since working with HAI support on my Omnistat concerns.

As Fred stated the new Omnistat's firmware includes the Zigbee software (seen in the Omnistat Menus) but not the ZigBee radios.
