Hi while researching about home automation i came across PLCbus, but didnt find much information about it on the forums up here.

Was thinking if anyone uses this over here got any suggestions about it.

I think it uses 240v so it is good to use in Oz and Europe

here is the link for it

Hi Paul

I think one of the UK Homevision guys might be using PLCBUS ....Depending on its pricing it might be an option for you....FYI Clipsal also have wireless modules but they are not cheap and would still require a sparkie to fit them...

Ya clipsal is more expensive and if you going to hire a sparkie its going to be too much... that y i was thinking about plcbus but i still need to do some electrical work by myself which i think shouldnt be too much.. i am getting more leaned towards it as it is also two way comms...what do u suggest? have to do more study about it

A switch module for plcbus is around 50-60 dollars... but i also need to buy a interface which i guess is around 60-70 dollars which is min i suppose i have to spend

Also found this software from http://www.hometomation.com/homeplanner/ which i can use for a while before getting more into it and buying homeseer
