possible group buy?

now that 2008 is coming to a close and the new fiscal year is right around the corner (at least, in my household) is there any potential for group buys out there? especially in the camera/recording area would be great.

There are feelers out for a group buy for a BetaBrite sign on the CQC forum posted by Brian (sic0048). There may be some potential here as well?

I've come across an E-Bay auction for a lot of 10 Beta Bright signs. They are on the small side at 12" wide x 2" high. The BIN price is $495 with free shipping, but the seller also takes best offers. I e-mailed the seller to make sure that each unit came with it's own power supply and computer cord (which they do), and the mentioned he has over 100 units right now.

I know there is a CQC Driver for these types of signs and I've thought about getting one to play around with. But they are normally pretty expensive. If there is enough interest on these, perhaps we can get a pretty good deal.

So please indicate if you might be interested in one (or more) of these signs. I'm not 100% sure that I really want one, but thought I should at least start the process of gauging interest.

i use my slimp3s/squeezeboxes for this purpose though the screen isn't as big and colorful (higher resolution on the newer squeezeboxes), plus the added ability to play music, be TTS devices & be used as IR receivers
