Problem with nuvo Grand Concerto + Expander

When plugging in speakers directly to the nuvo grand concerto or the expander (in any and all zones, while all zones are playing in party mode) im not receiving any sound from the speakers. When i plug the same euro connector attached to the speakers into the amplifier thats hooked up to any of the unamplified zones, i get sound.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what i might be doing wrong?

I also checked audio for each zone using the stereo headset jacks from each zone, both variable and fixed, and both are giving me sound....

Thanks for any help you can offer!

What source(s)?

Do any zones work when NOT in Party Mode?

Are you using the Configurator SW, or programming with keypads?

In the Config sw, there is a slider bar that sets the preset level for Party Mode, specific for each zone, but that's just the default level; should be able to change the vol after, on the KP.

I think there is a toggle for each KP/zone, that would prevent that zone from playing in Party Mode. In the Config sw, it's specific to the zone.

I don't have the sw in front of me, but in the 2nd to last tab, before uploading config to the GC, there are some global toggles like Page/Mute Trigger that could affect it.

Pretty sure all of the sw programming options are available as KP programming options. I will look at the issue more this afternoon when I'm home.

The last couple days I've had probs myself, and I've become pretty familiar with the programming. I've lost metadata at he keypads with the MPS4. Full control from the PC Client and iPad remains, I think it's an issue with the NuVoNet serial RS485 bus, and the MPS4 not communicating. I hope Brunner can help me without an RMA.

Hey, thanks for the quick response. I have a number of sources hooked up including an ipod through the nv-ripd, dvd player and a nuvo tuner nv-t2sir.. getting the same problem with all of them, ive just used the keypads to set the system up, and no i havent installed the configurator software or upgraded the firmware its running on v2.51 right now, not sure if thats the latest, but i cant see why that would make a difference. And yeah its the same problem even when its not in party mode and i just try individual zones playing.. even when i turn the volume up on the keypad in the particular zone no audio comes out..

any help or suggestions is muchly appreciated, thanks.

I strongly suggest the GC Configurator sw. Takes 5 mins to program, if you know how and you're using Nuvo source components. I'd try the sw.

Newest Configurator is 2.66a, though I'm having trouble with my install. Don't think it's a fw issue, as the trouble started before 2.66a.

New Prozone login. Again. Restricted.

Call your distributor for the sw, to start. You may have to eventually email tech support for sw access.

The Cinfig sw has settings for max volumes, specific to each zone. Maybe there is a max vol setting for each zone, from KP programming? Might be set to the lowest.
