No, the M1 does not come with an XSP unless somebody put together their own package, but it is not included in the SYSG4 package. I also encourage the use of the M1XEP ethernet adapter. Another reason is to allow the M1 to send email, and IVB is absolutely right. You will quickly tire of switching cables around in addition to not having all the features. That is also my configuration M1 > XEP > CQC.surdev said:I think the kit comes with ELK-M1XSP (M1 Lighting & Thermostat Interface)tech-home said:You will also need a ELK-M1XSP for lighting, if your going to have it hooked up to the Elk. That way you can leave the on board serial for CQC.

A Data Bus Hub is a very very convenient thing to have.
You can also bring the cables into a patch panel and jumper them to the hub. That's the way I did it.Digger said:If you are comfortable with crimping on RJ connectors then the databus hub is great. If not then the retrofit hub would work.
I don't have a picture of it yet. What I did was terminate each wire with a RJ45 jack and use a 12" jumper.electron said:Do you have a picture of that setup? I am also wondering why they can't do the return path on the DBH board itself,
