I switched out my old thermostat with a new HAI RC1000 and the A/C doesn't work. I don't have anything plugged in except the HVAC controls so far. Standard single furnace with standard A/C unit.
The old thermostat had 5 connections, one each for the yellow, green and white wires... however the red wire was connected twice. (I've attached a pic as reference)
When I connected the RC1000 I connected the following wires:
Green to 8
Yellow to 7
White to 6
Red to 1
there was also a factory installed jumper between 1 and 2.
If anyone knows what I'm missing here please let me know, otherwise I'll have to go back to the old thermostat which I'd prefer not to do.
