REQUEST: PC Security How-To

There is a good article on msn about PC security and the things you should do befor ever connecting a PC up to the internet. I like the idea about editing the host file to block malware and spyware.

I just installed the Hosts file from the above link and it blocked me from accessing the X10 forums>
Does anyone know why???

probably because of all the pop-under ads that x10 put out there. You should be able to edit the hosts file and remove that line to allow you back in. The hosts file is somewhat unique for Windows, in that it doesn't have an extension. I usually just rename it to hosts.txt, edit it with notepad, then rename it back to hosts.

I found the entries. There were abut 15 entries in its own section.
