Russound and HAI OIIE

Is there anyway to control a Russound CAM 6.6 with an OIIe? Is there anything I can do short of upgrading to a OPII? (I really don't want to upgrade to an OPII just for this functionality.)

I cannot answer your question but if your decide to go for an OPII, I have a like new OPII (3 serial port version) that I never installed because the 5 serial port version came out just as I was ready to install the OPII in a new house. I wanted more serial ports so I bought the 5 port version and no longer need the 3 port version I have. Was getting ready to put it on eBay soon. Can make someone a good deal. PM me if interested.

The Omni IIe can only control the HAI HiFi Audio System. For other systems, you have to use the OmniPro II.

Wow. I didn't even notice this when I purchased my OPIIe. What's the limitation that causes the OPIIe to not be able to control the Russound equipment? It has plenty of serial ports available...

Audo support for anything other than a Hi-Fi system is not in the OmniIIe. It is one of the distinguishing features between the OmniIIe and the OmniProII.
