Russound Zones

I need to add some zones to a russound cam6.6. Is there an "expansion" amp just for adding zones?
can I use a cav6.6 with the cam6.6 just for the extra zones? With the Rnet I would assume it should work but I want to be sure.
Anyone done this yet?

There are some "Abus" ready zones built in for expansion using amplified keypads. No experience with those but the manual details their use. I just last week added a second CAV6.6 - my house now rocks properly :rockon:

Edit: Just reread your message. Sorry I saw CAV - Not Cam. I don't have experience there but - like you said it is Rnet and I am betting you will find the answer is yes.

Does that mean I can't use the CAV??

I know you can use a CAM as a second to a CAV but there was something with the otherway around that I remember not working correctly.

Well then it would stand to reason that he could simply use the new CAV as the "main" unit w/ first six zones and the CAM as the next 6?

Let me check on that to make sure that I don't have it reversed and I should have an answer tomorrow. In either case, you are going to have to find the second used since they are not available as new any more.

The CAM can slave off the CAV and still be controlled via RNET. However the idea to use ABUS off the existing piece will eliminate the ability to control. ABUS sucks.
