UPB switches - Powerline noise with new heat pump

Last week a new heat pump was installed for my house. I found out that when the heat pump is running, my UPB switches are not reporting status to my system (HAI Omni with PIM module).

They control the loads without problem and I can also control them from HAI but when I manually switch the light on/off with the rocker, they don't report status. And as soon as the heat pump stop, the switches report status again.

My previous heat pump was not causing any issues with my UPB switches. The new one is variable speed inverter compressor so I think this may be the problem.

Anyone know what can I do to get rid of the noise on the powerline ?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yes, its the inverter part. I had a inverter Panasonic microwave that was terrible as well. Another problem I have seen with the inverter devices is longevity, but that's another story. The microwave only lasted two years. The good news, as a AC it has its own breaker, so that might help. I would contact PCS, you could start here: PCS Support

I gave it a try and bought a 100uF Capacitor on Amazon for 20$. Plugged it right after the heat pump breaker in my electric panel and it worked like a charm. All UPB switches are now reporting status even with the heat pump running.

Easy and cheap solution! I like it!

Thank you guys!
