Water Sensors and Alarm Outputs

I just received some water sensors to get me started down that path, but I want to seek advice on a best method for alarm control. It seems from whats in the M1 manual, and I think I remember seeing from old posts, is that a water alarm would indeed trip the outside siren. Is that so? If so, should I define the water sensor as a non-alarm (or some other) type sensor and just use rules to accomplish my goals? I don't want to bother the neighborhood for a water issue. What is everyone else doing?

If you set the zones as non-alarm it will not report. If you set them as a water zone and then set water alarm output timer to 0 seconds then the siren will not sound but the keypads will beep and the panel will report the water alarm to the CS. I have it that way for a few years now.

Just the info I was looking for.
Thanks, Digger!

...how long do the keypads beep for?
Never mind, got it. Thanks.
