Who has Nuvo Music Port?

Has anyone successfully installed this? I downloaded it, installed it and it works except for the fact that it doesn't scan itunes (or WMP for that matter) so there are no songs in the database. So it is essentially useless. I tried uninstalling everything and installing directly to 3.0, same result. I also posted someone on the Autonomic forum, but I guess it is fully moderated, and they have chosen not to allow questions like this to be posted since they have not approved my post in over a week!

Would love to hear some feedback on this.

I've successfully installed it. I'm having some problems with some Internet Radio stations (many work, though), but it found and plays my music library fine. Others have reported the library scan issue as well on their forum. Which by the way, seems that whoever moderates as finally woken up and approved all the posts... I posted several things like two months ago and they were never approved until this weekend. So take a look there, your posts probably have replies.

I asked in another post there why they have a moderator requirement for posting - seems awfully drastic especially if someone isn't moderating on a full-time basis (and who would do that!).

FYI, I got an e-mail response from Autonomic saying that they know of the sync problem and are working on it now. I also saw that they are hoping to have this fix released in the next few days. Hopefully 3.0 will fix some of the things that really bug me about the MP. (i.e. half implemented Pandora, lack of integration with Nuvo favorites (which is my biggest annoyance), and Sirius would be nice). I am willing to pay for an upgrade license if it has those things and I can control it from my GC control pads.

The 3.0 Beta certainly fixes the half-support (really no support officially, but at least the basics worked) - I can select stations, and the creation/edit/like/dislike options are all in the Actions menu on the keypad. So I'd say Pandora on MP is at 100% with 3.0...

Oh, and YES, I added a RadioTime station to my favorites - haven't tried a Pandora station, but I expect that works, too...

cannot figure out how to get the iphone app working. Went and dropped $20 on it this afternoon and installed on iphone.

everytime i start the app, the app will not connect to the music server. trying to connect to 192.16.0.186 which is my server's address on the LAN. eventually get a message that says your multi-room amplifier or control system was not found.Please check the RS232 cable between the server and your amplifier.

This indicates that the system cannot communicate with your GC. What type of serial connection do you have between the PC and your GC? Can you control zone, source and volume using the web client? Can you successfully communicate with the GC using Nuvos Configurator software from that PC?

On another note, does anyone know what else you get if you upgrade to the full version of MCS? It looks like you get Sirius and XM, but is there anything else? Also, does anyone know what the real difference is between the MCS iphone app and the Nuvo App? They seem about the same? I did not download the $99 Nuvo app, but did get the MCS app, and the screenshots seem to be about the same thing (except for branding maybe?). Anyone know any more about that?

Autonomic, you did a great job! I upgraded my 2.5 MCS to 3.0beta, without any problem.

The iPhone App is great . (including favourites & radio control)

A tip for future users, if you want to try before you buy the iPhone/iPad app:

- install first the "Nuvo lite" app (free) to test with 1 zone
- then you can buy the "all zones" app from Autonomic (Mirage)

As the Full Nuvo is exact the same app, but 4 times more expensive.. you know what to do

Sorry to interrupt the the thread, but is all this MCS software update talk apply to the original MP system or just the MP server? I have about given up hope for any updates on the original MP. If it does apply to original MP, do I get the software from Autonomic or Nuvo?

Just installed 3.0 beta of MCS. Have not gotten very far. Everything appears to have installed correctly and all services are running. I can run the Mirage app. over my home network and it attempts to connect. At this point I get a message that says: Server Not Detected. Please log into the host server to continue.

I tried unplugging the E6G for a minute and plugged it back in. No joy. I have also turned off all firewalls on the my server PC. I have 3 MP sources configured and the control pad just says "Connecting to Source" but it never connects.

Any ideas what might be going on?
