Regarding the Model 28A00-1 / 10A11-1

If I screwed up and only have 1 pair of wires for the 2 way audio module - is it possible to share the same wire for both speaker and microphone since the Omni IIe only does listen or talk one at a time?  So use the same positive cable splitting it for both speaker and microphone - same with the ground...I figure since only the speaker or the microphone will be on at a time - it shouldn't effect anything...am I wrong?

No - the impedance of a speaker and microphone is different as well as one outputs a small voltage and current while the other expects to see voltage and current.  Wiring a microphone to a speaker output generally makes the microphone a mini-speaker but wiring a speaker to a microphone rarely makes the speaker a good microphone and you risk damaging the input on the board as well as creating a component short.

Do the job right - use two pairs as specified by the manufacturer.

The two-way audio module has TWO mic inputs and TWO outputs, so add two more while your at it. In fact, add a bunch more. You will always use them.
