Anyone learn about this product? I found them on Kickstart - they are looking to do a round of financing.

Looks interesting - I would want to see them able to interface with Homeseer, but some of the folks here might want to look to work it into your project.

I see Wovyn has several advantages over Twine.

Smaller (1" square; 1/4 size of Twine)
Broader range of fully wireless sensors (Twine has two internal plus several wired external sensors)
900 Mhz wireless (excellent range)
Two kinds of gateways: USB works with PC, Wi-Fi is standalone
Communicates with Wovyn's cloud (Loom) and several 3rd-party services/protocols, plus has an Event-based API and REST.

From a bang-for-your-buck standpoint, Twine, on Kickstatrter, was cheaper. For $165 you received one Twine plus three additional wired sensors (five sensors in total). For $159, you get two Wovyn sensors plus the USB gateway. Of course, you can place Wovyn sensors wherever you want because each sensor is independent and wireless.
