The XEP nightmare..... I setup few rules in the RP and turned the computer off. Tested that it was sending me all the text messages when Armed, Disarmed and so forth. After shutting the pc for the night, it even sent me a Heartbeat text at 11pm. Next day Disarmed the M1G and nothing. Tried few other rules that would send me text nothing. Mind you all this was working the day before. I have double checked all the info in the TCP/IP, DDNS and still nothing. Tried disconnecting the power as well.
I have tried using a previous account in RP that did work and still get the same message. I can connect to the XEP and change settings and DDNS and Time Server Test OK.
I am stumped...... Here are some pics for XEP

I'm having a similar problem. XEP was reliably sending arm/disarm emails for 1 month plus then suddely stopped. I notice that when I try to send a test mail form the button on the email tab RP disconnects. No solution yet.

For the amount of money they charge for this dang thing you'd hope it would work better....

Using Comcast DNS is not recommended.  Try something else.  Google DNS works well at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.  Others here may have additional recommendations.

What would they be blocking the ports 25,2101 or 2601? Or ip address?
There are common ports that get blocked on 'consumer' accounts so you aren't running webserver/mail services using a $40 per month IP connection. ;)  Another reason (other than security) that you also never want to use ports like 80 or 8080.

I'm far from an expert in this area, but have experienced various problems like this that required me to use alternate ports for email notifications.  I believe I wound up using an alternative port that my hosting site allowed for and used their smtp server for notifications.  This took a few work arounds/trys before I got it reliable.  It was nothing with the XEP hardware (IMO) more of a permissions on what was allowed, again IMO.
