10A111 Voice Module and Nuvo Essentia

I am about to install the 10A111 voice module into my cabinet. I also have the Nuvo essentia system for my whole house audio. My hope is that I can the voice responses through the Nuvo audio system. Before I get stated I was hoping that someone has been through this and can offer counsel so that I don't spin my wheels too much trying to get it working.

i did this with my NuVo GC a while back, and got it working without too much hassle.  
 
actually the biggest issue was that i tried to make my own 3.5mm to stripped leads cable by cutting an existing 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable in half, and that did not work--the wire was so thin (and stranded), it was hard to get a reliable connection.  in the end, i just bought a cable from radio shack that was already made.
 
i did discover that i had to add a pause at the start of my voice messages so the first word wasn't cut off--i guess turning on paging zones and switching inputs was just a little slow.
 
it's been a while so my recollection is a bit fuzzy.  if you have any questions, let me know and i'll take a closer look at my setup.
