227VAC Device? Leviton Companion Switches w/LED

Leviton has a companion switch for 3-way applications with LEDs (http://www.asihome.com/ASIshop/product_info.php?products_id=3346), and one without. The one with LEDs requires a 227VAC device - can anyone explain what that means? Would using the switch with LED require a more specific wiring setup or should it work in any situation where I'm replacing existing 3-way switches?

What are you trying to replace? Are you on 277V?

Honestly I'm not sure what 277V even is... I'm just replacing standard light switches with zwave models. I've got a few of these: http://www.asihome.com/ASIshop/product_inf...roducts_id=3453 and I'm looking for a companion switch for the other end of the 3-way.

You can't use the switch you linked to in post #1 because it says "use with 277vac only". 277 is the voltage from one phase of a 277/480 3-phase service. Just about everybody, 99.999%, has 120/240 split phase in their house.
