Looking at what accessories I should get for the OP II. Lots of little questions and a need to confirm my understanding of how it all hooks up.
Zone expansion.
I need 16 additional input zones and don't really need anymore outputs. There is the 17A00-9 which has 16 inputs, 16 outputs, and a mounting plate. The 10A06-1 only has 16 inputs but appears to be a much simpler design with no mounting plate or accessories. Are there any differences between these two products beyond the 16 outputs and cost? I'm thinking mounting, reliability, integration, flexability, and other subtle points.
Connections for thermostats, consoles, and external temp/humidity sensors. I'll probably have two each of the RC2000, 33A00-4, and 31A00-8.
It appears the thermostats are connected to GND/output8 and to input zone16 +/- (4 wires total). Multiple stats are wired in parallel. This takes up one on-board output zone and one input zone.
The consoles are wired to what appears to be a SIP connector in the upper left side of board. Multiple consoles are wired in parallel. No output or input zones used.
The external temp/humidity sensors are wired to any of the remaining input zones. Does each require a separate zone (2 stats takes up 2 zones)? No power wires needed? Can the zone expander board be used for these sensors? These are simple TTL logic inputs? If so how do they work with temp/humidity sensors?
