Alarm door contact wiring

I moved into a new house and had the alarm wire ran to all operable windows, external doors, motion sensor areas, etc...

I have everything done and programmed and working except the 3 external doors.  The wire for each door is coming out of the side of the door frame a couple of inches from the top of the door.  The house was insulated with spray foam so the all the wires had to be stapled before the foam was sprayed.  The wires are all in the correct locations.

The issue is that even though I have plenty of wire coming out of the frames there is no play to either pull out more wire or to push any wire back into the hole into the frame of the doors.

Besides removing the door frame, tearing into the drywall, and freeing up some slack are there any tips to install the contacts?

I will be using WINN 3/8" stubby pressfit contacts on the wood and fiberglass doors and a Honeywell Ademco 3/4" Steel door contact on the steel door.

Thanks!

I had nearly the same issue.  I found I was able to remove some of the foam around the hole using a pick tool (screwdriver handle with a pointed end).  You have to be careful not to damage the wiring, but I was able to at least make a pocket where the wires could be pushed back after wiring the sensor.

A 3/4" contact and some removal of the foam would give you room to work and also a place to hide slack. Terminal contacts are your friend here, not pigtail units.
