Chris,
I think Lathanm (a user) replied back. I just got back from the West coast from the EHX show. My return plane was cancelled so that threw a curve ball to getting back. If you need more info, post back and I will respond.
thanx for the look.
Yes, me and several others use CQC on Fujitsu tablets as well as other PCs. It certainly is the glue that makes it all work together nicely.Digger said:IVB,
Correct me if I am wrong but you are running CQC on Fujitsu Tablets correct? I went from saying I cant afford the CQC to being on the fence now. Since I already have a few tablets, a PC I can uses as a server, Sage, 3 Sage extenders, and an ELK M1 I have most of the hardware I would need. CQC might tie it all together but I am a hardware person (mainly for alarms) and this is the weakest area of my product knowledge.
I am impressed by what you have done with your setup and I am now considering the CQC to have everyting play nice together.
according to this thread, support for the sonos won't be anytime soon. Something about uPnP making it hard to do a driver, which probably means something the techies among us.upstatemike said:I don't think you will be doing any Sonos muting from CQC. (I haven't seen it in the supported hardware list).
My thoughts as well... it does what it does well.. but it does have its limits... and price...upstatemike said:I would also note that the new CQC features are often home theater related. Not much focus on networked music (Sonos and Slimserver) or telephone functions (no equivalent to way-to-call or Stargate sound card) no support for VWS if you have a weather station, etc.
CQC is a "prosumer" product more than a hobby product so it does what it does very well but doesn't stray too far from controlling lights, security, tstats and home theater systems via touch screens. Perfect if that is your focus but take a couple of those key things out of the equation (in my case security, touch screens and home theater) because you have different priorities, and you may find Homeseer is a better fit.
Also don't forget ECS and some of the other options out there.

Maybe if the devices page had an "In Development" heading for things like Insteon and SlimServer it would give a more accurate picture?Dean Roddey said:Actually there is a new Slimserver driver being tested out by a few users, and they seem very happy with it.
